Lüdenscheid, 19 November 2013 – Assmann expands its product line of Plug&View cameras with three high-performance, robust outdoor models. Digitus Plug&View OptiVario, OptiDome Pro and OptiZoom are especially designed for outdoor use. They have a robust, weatherproof IP66 housing and score points with a high data compression standard, Power over Ethernet technology and masking option.
The Digitus Plug&View System, distinguished with the Innovation Award IT, is an easy-to-install video surveillance solution for your home. Via the website mydigitus.net and the individual code of each camera, a connection between the user and camera is established once the device is switched on – no more time-consuming installation processes. The Plug&View System enables access to the cameras via any common Internet browser. This is particularly convenient via your own App, which guarantees customized operation of the user account via Smartphones and Tablet. If the device registers a movement, it records this automatically and, if desired, sends the user a notification message or automatically saves the data over a secure connection in myDigitus Cloud. In order for the cameras to also be able to register movements in the dark, they are equipped with Smart Light Control.
For the winter of 2013/2014, Assmann is expanding the Plug&View camera line with three devices, which are perfect for outdoor use. As usual, the cameras can be quickly and easily integrated into the home network and can be managed with an App via a Smartphone/Tablet or via a browser. All new models compress the video data in accordance with the H.264 Compression Standard and thus give a higher image quality at a relatively lower data rate and network load. Furthermore it is possible with all cameras to mask private areas and exclude them from the recording. The size and position of these areas can be programmed. A masking is suitable if the camera can see into areas, which are not relevant for the security purpose and if an invasion of privacy should be avoided.
The new Digitus Plug&View cameras are equipped with Power over Ethernet technology, meaning they are powered with electricity directly through the network cable. The advantage: Cameras, which are installed in places that are difficult to access, do not require an additional power supply via a power adapter. Should operation over WLAN be desired, then the power supply can be drawn from the supplied power adapter.

3 x optical zoom – Digitus Plug&View OptiZoom
This camera model has a particularly robust housing made of die-cast aluminium with a polycarbonate bubble, which protects the camera from wind, rain and dust as much as from vandalism. This model can be installed in pretty much any surrounding and give good images, even under tough conditions. Thanks to the 3 x optical zoom, the recording area can be set optimally. The horizontal viewing angle can be set from 29 to 76 degrees.
